Flowers for every occasion

Each and every single occasion with a few exceptions, of course, is virtually impossible and pragmatically incomplete without one ingredient – flowers. Be it be used for décor, as gifts, or any other reason, flowers instill and add a sense of nature to every possible setting.

Their significance can be highlighted by the fact that since time immemorial, they have been used to greet the people of highest importance. Kings and queens in historical events were all greeted with a shower of flowers of the highest quality. And today, that tradition has been modified to greeting and welcoming an esteemed guest or diplomat with generally a bouquet of flowers or a plant.

Flowers are not just material objects but also the symbols and representations of a lot of things such as peace, strength, a wide range of emotions, death, wealth, success etc. For instance, the Gladiolus indicates a strength of character, a yellow rose symbolizes mature love, a red rose is an indication of true love, a yellow poppy represents immaculate wealth, pink carnations stand for death. These symbolisms are so wide in nature and variety that a separate field named ‘Flower Symbolisms’ exists just to understand the meanings of different flowers in different setups and religions in order to give context to various situations.

Flowers are something whose value cannot be just described using mere words. They provide an ornate beautification to even the dullest of setups and surroundings. They can make even something as depressing as a death feel a little lighter, not emotionally of course, but psychologically, because studies have shown that the smell of flowers releases endorphins in the body which makes every situation a little calmer to the mind. This is probably the reason why people in touch with nature are found to be happier and more cheerful as compared to other people.
