Not knowing anything about your company, I was a little nervous but that didn't last. My order turned out to be a lot of fun. AND best of all, I got an e-mail from you after delivery. The Holiday of Month-May 2017

For May 2017, we have the following major holidays and festivals, some of which are celebrated in Japan while others may not.

May 1-International Labour Day Holiday

May Day, or Labour Day, is a public holiday in many countries worldwide. It usually occurs around May 1, but the date varies across countries. It is associated the start of spring as well as the celebration of workers.1 May is a statutory holiday in the People's Republic of China. Prior to 2008, it was a three-day holiday, but is now just the one day. However, it is usually supplemented by two other days to give the appearance of a three-day holiday, but not being statutory holidays the extra days have to be "made up" by working either the preceding or following weekend. For example, in 2013, 1 May fell on Wednesday. Most workplaces, including all government offices, took Monday 29 April, Tuesday 30 April, and Wednesday 1 May off. As the first two days are not statutory holidays they have to be "made up" by working the preceding weekend (27 and 28 April). In Hong Kong, 1 May is known as Labour Day and has been considered a public holiday since 1999.

Golden Week in Japan

The Golden Week is a collection of four national holidays within seven days. In combination with well placed weekends, the Golden Week becomes one of Japan's three busiest holiday seasons, besides New Year and the Obon week. It is the busiest holiday season in Japan which takes place from April 29 to May 5.

May 8-Parent’s Day

In South Korea, Parent's Day is annually held on May 8. Parent's Day is celebrated by both the public and the government. Family events focus on the parents; popular actions include giving parents carnations. Public events are led by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and include public celebrations and awards.

May 14-Mother’s Day

Mother's Day in the United States is annually held on the second Sunday of May. It celebrates motherhood and it is a time to appreciate mothers and mother figures. Many people give gifts, cards, flowers, candy, a meal in a restaurant or other treats to their mother and mother figures, including grandmothers, great-grandmothers, stepmothers, and foster mothers.

May 28-30-Dragong Boat Festival
The Dragon Boat Festival is also known as the Duanwu Festival in China. It is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month on the Chinese lunisolar calendar. Same as the May Holiday, the statutory holiday is just one day, the government adjusted it to a 3-day break by adding extra two days onto it, since the extra two days are not statutory holiday, they have to be made up by working either proceeding or following weekend.
