Great Summer Food: Cold Noodles

It is mid-August, and still in the center of hot summer season, as the temperatures climbing higher up to 35 Celsius, our appetizer though getting lost for many food that we liked at usual time. Is there any special dish that is particularly designed for scorching summer days? The answer is of course, and that is cold noodles. In Eastern Asia, we have many different kind of cool noodles on menu, which are widely served in restaurant or street food stand, here they are:

Spicy Cold Noodle—Originated from Sicuan, south-eastern province of China, the tongue-numbing noodles are pungent, richly sauced and mouth-watering. It’s one of my favorite summer food as I am crazy about chili dish.

Shanghai Cold Noodles: Mainly found in restaurants of  Shanghai and Jiangsu, the noodles are much milder in taste, mostly served with peanut butter, white sesame, vintage, cucumber slice and some other seasonal vegetables, it is one of most popular dish among the people of above-mentioned regions.

Korean Cold Noodles: Although originated from Korea, Naengmyeon( English name for cold noodle), is  widely available in Chinese table. It is made of long, thin buckwheat noodles and served cold with half an egg and vegetable.
