Summer Holiday Gift Baskets

The summer holiday for school usually starts at early July and last about 2 months ending by late August. In China, during the summer holiday, children/students will have a good rest after several month of hard working on their study; they may also spent a few days or weeks to travel with parents or friends to some tourist spots, which they are not be able to do during school times.

Some children will have a plan to visit their grandparents or other relatives that living some distance away and stay with them for a few days or weeks. By doing this the child will have to living a new environment which challenge their ability of adaptation and their communication skills with different type of people (most are relatives, like aunts and uncles, cousins, ect.). In China, during school year, the students have to devote all their time and energy onto their study work in hope to obtain a good result for the numerous tests and examations, so in China, children seldom has spare time to play or do some extra activities they like and interested as the time has soly been allocated to study. Even in holidays, the Chinese child are forced by parents to study endless extrcurlimes such as playing music instruments, Olympic Mathematics,  English , drawing and so on, and most of these extracuiremls are not interested by the children at all, they just have to obey their parent’s order and study it passively.

So whenever it is a study days or a holiday, students have little chance of good rest in China. During the whole holiday time, they need to review the lessons of last terms and preview the lessons which will be given in next semester. Sending the student a summer holiday gift basket by parents or other relations of the family to prize their effort in their study is necessary and a effective means to encourage them to do same well in the coming days. In some cases, the children will join in a series of  Summer Camp activities normally organized by the summer school they attend, so sending them a Sumer Camp gift basket containing the tings they may use during the activities such as torch, poker, hat is also make good effect.
