How Is Women’s Day Celebrated in China?

Women’s Day is one day left, today, we are talking about how we celebrate this special holiday in China. Women’s Day is commonly celebrated in everywhere in China. On Women’s Day, based on the institution or companies you work for, the women are granted half day off usually in afternoon on March 8, they can leave work after the lunch hour. However, this practice only exist in some larger corporations or government institutions where normally provide better benefits for the workers, which means in many private or small companies, the women still have to work full day on March 8. Many firms would like to give a gift to the women staff in the office to acknowledge this holiday. The family celebrations for this holiday in China really depends on the individual homes: if the man is kind enough, he will do more housework on this day giving the wife chance of having good rest, for example, he will cook a nice dinner, which is prepared by the wife at usually time; if the man is romantic enough, he will send his wife a gift of flower, chocolates or any gifts his another half would like to receive.
